Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when you request access, create an account, or use Instaport, including your email address, profile details, eligibility confirmations, product settings, and support communications. We also collect technical records needed to operate and secure the service.
If you connect an account, we receive read-only access to your account information, including balances, positions, and transactions, through our third-party service provider. We do not ask for or store your brokerage account password or multi-factor authentication code.
When you request access or sign up, we use your IP address to determine your country for regional eligibility. We retain the country code rather than the raw IP address in these records.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, connect and refresh accounts, calculate and display portfolio information, provide features you request, enforce your privacy choices, communicate with you about account access, prevent abuse, support the service, and comply with applicable law.
Brokerage connections
We use a third-party account-connectivity provider. When you choose to connect an account, the provider and the relevant financial institution process information needed to make that connection and return read-only account data to Instaport. Instaport cannot place, change, or cancel trades through this connection. You can disconnect an account or request deletion of your connected-user record.
Market data received through the account-connectivity provider, including prices or market values supplied under third-party licenses, is used only to serve the licensed member and is not redistributed publicly.
What you choose to publish
A new account publishes no holdings, performance, allocation, quantities, transactions, broker identity, or search presence. You may deliberately make supported portfolio facts visible. The product shows the affected fields before a change and records the choice. Exact quantities, individual transactions, and broker identity require their own explicit choice and are never enabled by a broad preset.
Public performance and portfolio displays use Instaport calculations and appropriately licensed display data. Information already published or copied by another person may remain outside Instaport after you change your setting.
Service providers and disclosures
We share only the information needed with providers that host, secure, monitor, or operate the service, and with our account-connectivity provider and financial institutions when you request an account connection. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or another person, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. A disconnect stops future account refreshes. Account deletion removes active member data and requests deletion of the corresponding user record held by the account-connectivity provider; limited security, legal, and backup records expire under controlled schedules.
Security and choices
We use encryption in transit and at rest, restricted service credentials, access controls, logging, and tested deletion paths. No service can promise absolute security. You can review or change privacy settings and disconnect an account in the app. Contact us to request access, correction, or account deletion, subject to applicable exceptions.
